| Lighthouses of Amasra
1863. Active; focal plane 77 m (253 ft); white flash every 10 s. Lantern mounted at the seaward end of a 1-story masonry keeper`s house. NGA lists the tower height as 9 ft, but probably this does not include the lantern. Sibling of the Sinop lighthouse. The lighthouse is seen in a Google satellite view. Located atop a cliff on the north side of a steep-sided island northwest of Amasra harbor. |
