One of the greatest works in Barcelona is the Palau Nacional, situated on the Montjuic hill, housing The Museum of Catalunian Art, built for the 1929 Worlds`s Fair.
The palace contains one of the largest organs in Europe, which has 11.000 pipes, 154 combinations and 6 keyboards.
The main atraction in the museum is a collection of Romanic and Gothic art: frescos, murals, retables and carvings moved here from their original sites, where the bad climatic conditions and old constructions threatened these works of art.
