| This stone bridge is on the Edirne-Karaagac road across the Meric River. Abdulmecit started building it in in 1842 and it was finished in 1847. It is 263 m long 7 m wide and has 13 pedestals supporting 12 lancet arches. There are drain holes in the pedestals and a marble memorial booth at the center of the bridge. there used to be a sun on the dome of the booth. |
