| Plague Column (Pestsaule) of Graben (Vienna):
For five centuries Graben Square in Vienna, Austria was just part of the commercial activity of this city but it has now become a famous area adorned with luxury shop windows, street cafes and an elegant pedestrian area. The center of Graben Square is decorated with the Plague column which is in baroque style. It was put up in 1693 to honor the ending of the plague which took over the population in Europe for over ten years. |
